Most straightforward finishes run several weeks once permits are in hand. Timeline depends heavily on whether moisture or drainage work is needed first — we'll give you a realistic range after the site assessment.
Do I need a permit to finish my basement in Ontario?
In most GTA municipalities, yes — especially if you're adding a bedroom, bathroom, or altering egress. We flag exactly what applies to your project during the quote.
What if my basement has had water in it before?
That's exactly why we check drainage and grading before framing. Past water issues don't rule out finishing the space, but they do change the plan.
